Carolina is a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined designer.

Her approach balances fresh aesthetics with grounded strategy and concepts, melding personality, simplicity, and style. She’s a branding and packaging expert and a typography and editorial aficionado.

Formerly at Bartlett Brands, she watched the all-female agency grow from a scrappy two-person team to a sometimes-still-scrappy competitive and sought-after agency.

While she specialized in brand development, her role with an intimate 7-person team ping-ponged her through various diverse skills—from editorial design, illustration, and creative and art direction, to video production, web and packaging production, project management, and product sourcing.

She’s passionate about truly sustainable design, having co-presented various packaging sustainability talks. She believes planet-first design is non-negotiable. She’s also committed to inclusivity, rejecting tokenized performative acts for honest and engaged actions.

She graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco before enrolling at San Francisco City College where she explores poetry, fiction writing, experimental filmmaking, sociology, philosophy, and political science.

Currently, she’s failing to motivate herself to bake vegan goods. She’s also running her very own single-person studio, Casa Gato.

She is both Argentine and American and neither Argentine nor American. When she’s not designing, she writes intimate, quasi-biographical short fiction and poetry that uses surrealism and absurdism to explore otherness, race, and identity. She loves eggrolls, typography, and movies that make her cry.
